COVID-19 Business Support

There is now a wealth of online websites that offer an overview of assistance available, to companies coping with the economic consequences of COVID-19.

You can wade on out into the internet wild, to find them – or address this list, of those I found most useful.

  • Overview of the UK Government’s support for businesses here
  • A crowdsourced collection of resources for HR and business leaders to help inform and support Coronavirus response plans here
  • UK Government-backed loans of up to £5mm available via the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme here
  • UK grants of up to £50k available via the Innovation Funding Service *ends Friday 17th April* here
  • European startup-specific support available here
  • Global innovation grants and support initiatives here
  • Global capital relief database detailing grants and loans available to entrepreneurs and businesses worldwide (hat-tip to Duke Fuqua) here
  • Sources of funding for projects working on solutions to the Coronavirus and/or the negative effects associated with the virus here

Finally, if you’re already boggled by the options available and want to speak with HMRC directly for advice on tax and any benefits you can claim for, you can call their helpline dedicated to small businesses and the self-employed, on 0300 456 3565.
